Pushing a Glass of Water, 2021
I reperformed Marilyn Arsem’s Edge, in which she pushed two glasses of water across a table for seven hours. In my performance I pushed a cup of water across a table for an hour and broadcast it on Instagram live. I was interested in a performer-witness relationship in which the audience, firstly, was not primed to look for an extended period of time or to participate and, secondly, could tap in or out with ease.

I’m invested in doomed narratives. My inquiries: Why do we do time? Why do we keep doing time? What other reason than: we can’t stop doing it?
